Here state of the art medicine is practiced the old way, with a personalized touch. Office staff directly answer phone calls and emails during office hours and promptly return messages. Dr. Kane is personally available to answer medical questions and is typically not difficult to reach. Letters and phone calls are used to communicate with other physicians. We do not use the hospital’s MyChart app although our correspondence can be found within the parent program, Epic. For ophthalmic emergencies, Dr. Kane or an associate are on call and can be reached according to instructions presented in a recorded message. Curated music and a selection of children’s books are offered in the waiting area. Quiet reading together rather than screen time is encouraged while waiting. Your patience with scheduling changes is appreciated.
